ISW Review 2023: Awards, Acquisitions and AI

Wrapping up 2023, and planning for 2024, is the perfect opportunity to look back and celebrate all the achievements of the past 12 months. Busy businesses are a constant buzz of activity. Overlapping projects, where some being completed are met with others just starting. New services and staff coming into the fold and bringing with them new competencies and capabilities. Constantly evolving and transitioning product roadmaps and strategies. All blending together to make it a unique year with unique challenges and successes.

And 2023 has given us, at ISW, a great cause for celebration.

So, let’s look back at the highlights of this year...

Astonishing acquisitions

2023 saw two new acquisitions for ISW; Digital Ink and Offis.

Digital Ink, a creative design and marketing agency based in Tasmania, and one founded by our Managing Director Ian Warner, was brought into the ISW group this year. In doing so bringing new services into ISW, including graphic design, web design, videos and animations, marketing, and UX/UI. Already making incredible contributions to several customers and projects, Digital Ink has polished the creatives from ISW, taking projects to a whole new level of visual construction and output.

Offis is one of Australia’s leading cloud solution providers. With leading industry experience and expertise, Offis optimises and automates the provisioning of complete environments (prod, dev, test) for massive operational efficiencies, DevOps capabilities, and business agility. Now under the ISW Group, Offis and ISW implement future-proof, cloud-agnostic strategies across hybrid clouds and public clouds for maximum flexibility and control.

Welcome to the family Digital Ink and Offis.

 And the winners are

ISW has won countless awards over the years, with 2023 being no different. However, this year we received two awards which are very close to our heart for the inspiration they provide, and demonstrating what can be achieved if you put your mind to it and challenge normal conventions.

Scoot Boots, a women-centered business creating all-terrain hoof boots for horses, won the E-Commerce category in the Tasmanian Export Awards, after developing a new sizing application with ISW. The app revolutionised sales, by enabling faster customer purchasing decisions, reducing time to market, and increasing customer sizing satisfaction. With IT and business communities still largely dominated by male leaders, we are thrilled to see CEO Annette Kaitinis take Scoot Boots to the National Export Awards, following this impressive award win.

If you have yet to hear about ERC Australia, you soon will. ERC Australia is an online platform for small businesses to build and communicate their carbon emission reduction programs. ERC Australia recently won the IBM and Tech Data ‘One Percenter’ Competition which challenges technology teams to create solutions using IBM software, technology, and platforms. The emissions reduction collective software-as-a-service platform has received $30,000 towards go-to-market and lead generation strategies, and both ISW and ERC will be invited to speak at local IBM events. Climate change is the challenge of our time, and ISW is pleased to be a technology and business partner for ERC Australia, helping reduce the carbon emissions from Australia’s small to medium business ecosystem.

Congratulations to Scoot Boots and ERC Australia.
